After Sean “P Diddy” Combs’ recent arrest in New York City, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have weighed in. Others, including current AND former friends of Combs, have remained silent out of “fear,” according to insiders.
The music mogul was charged with racketeering conspiracy, fraud or coercion, human trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in escorting. He faces a sentence of a minimum 15 years and a maximum of life in prison if found guilty.
While the high-profile case has sparked responses from big names, others who have been tied to Combs in the past like Jennifer Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, Naomi Campbell, and Jay-Z, none of whom are implicated in the criminal case, have been notably quiet.
The CEO of Reputation Management Consultants believes that celebrities are silent because they fear their brands bleeding out with fans over ties to Diddy. And, worse, they fear if they cross him, things could end in disaster.
But the bottom line is that the overwhelming majority of the entertainment industry has either remained silent or spoken in hushed tones regarding the rumors surrounding P. Diddy.
It could be due to the nature of the allegations, which are pretty gruesome supposed drugging. The scale of evidence gathered during the federal raid included computers, phones, and over 50 individuals reportedly cooperating as witnesses.
We should also remember that the depth and reach of those who might be complicit and compromised for having participated in P Diddy’s illicit parties is staggering. Here’s a look at 8 stars who have been suspiciously quiet about Combs’ indictment.
Jennifer Lopez
When Jennifer Lopez dated P Diddy between 1999 and 2001, she wasn’t a superstar yet. She was arrested with the mogul following a shooting at a nightclub in New York and was later released without charges.
She hasn’t said a single word about the allegations against her ex, though a source claiming to be close to Lopez told the media after the Cassie video that Lopez wouldn’t be speaking out because it’s “not her story to tell.”
Combs and Lopez called it quits in 2001 due to his alleged infidelity. In 2003, Lopez spoke about the breakup, stating, “It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was crazy, crying, and going nuts.
It really took my whole life in a tailspin. “I never caught him, but I knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a few hours and not come back that night.”
Ashton Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher and P Diddy’s friendship goes back many years. In the 2000s, the pair were so close that they called themselves the new Rat Pack alongside Jamie Foxx.
Combs and Kutcher, who first met while hosting different TV shows on MTV, have had a years-long friendship. The “That ’70s Show” actor first connected with Combs over their shared love of pranks.
During an appearance on “Hot Ones” in 2019, Kutcher was overcome with his memories and couldn’t pick one P Diddy “party story” to talk about. Kutcher did mention to host Sean Evans, though, that “I’ve got a lot I can’t tell” about his friendship with the mogul.
Well, unfortunately for him, he could be forced to speak soon because the star is allegedly “expecting a subpoena” about Combs’ behavior.
The Kardashians
Different members of the influential Kardashian clan have been regular guests at P Diddy’s parties and excursions over the years. Quite a few of them were photographed many times arm-in-arm with him as recently as 2019.
So it seems as though whatever one thinks of the way their fame came to be, their inclusion in Sean Combs’ orbit DOES have an effect.
Jay-Z
Mogul and rapper Jay-Z is yet another influential person known to have maintained a friendship with P Diddy because they both emerged on the hip-hop scene around the same time. They even avoided jail time in the same year, 1999.
Later, each of them made philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and the mixing of luxury industries with hip-hop major aspects of their brands. Jay-Z has even been a part of charity events and performed on stage with Sean Combs regularly.
There’s no shortage of photographs that show the two together over the last 30 years. But Jay-Z hasn’t offered any public thoughts on his friend’s downfall.
Rapper 50 Cent, in his teasing of Diddy, has stated that Jay-Z seemed to abandon his friend amid the allegations from his various lawsuits. Is it because he knows too much?
Anna Wintour
Love her or hate her, Wintour has been pictured partying with P Diddy many times. In fact, appearing with the rapper contributed significantly to his endorsement into the upper reaches of the fashion world.
Their friendship extended to plenty of Vogue coverage for the entertainer, who has enjoyed regular photo shoots and features in the magazine for many years.
Sean Combs would ultimately develop such a fixation about his place in the industry that he would allegedly tell his employees, “When you talk to me, you should imagine that you’re talking to Karl Lagerfeld,” one insider told the media in June.
Justin Bieber
Sean “P Diddy” Combs acted as a mentor to Justin Bieber when he sky rocketed to fame at merely 15 years old.
But even though the worldwide web has long circulated rumors that Justin might have been exposed to some inappropriate things while in P Diddy’s circle, the pop superstar hasn’t spoken a word about his relationship with the former mogul… even amid all the accusations that have appeared over the past year.
Naomi Campbell
It’s important to mention that Campbell isn’t implicated in P Diddy’s case. But as a longtime friend of Combs, Naomi threw a lavish 54th birthday for the rapper in 2023.
Yet, shortly after the Cassie lawsuit was revealed, in which the pop star accused Diddy of abuse and human trafficking later that year, Naomi Campbell seemingly deleted all posts of her and the mogul from her social media platforms. Why? We have yet to find out!
Leonardo DiCaprio
DiCaprio was filmed partying at P Diddy’s 50th birthday party back in 2019. But besides that, he’s also been photographed many times over the years as a guest at the entertainer’s parties.

Shortly after Combs was arrested, it didn’t take long for 50 Cent to respond in a social media post: “Here I am keeping good company with @thedrewbarrymoreshow, and I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house,” he captioned a photo alongside Drew Barrymore.
The rapper was seemingly referencing the “more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant” discovered during raids at P Diddy’s homes a few months back. And this is just one example of 50 Cent’s opinion on the matter.
Aubrey O’Day
Aubrey O’Day, a former member of Diddy’s girl group, Danity Kane, has always been open about how she feels about the mogul. But now she shared her thoughts on the music mogul’s recent arrest.
“The purpose of justice is to provide an ending and allow us the space to create a new chapter,” she wrote on social media after he was arrested. “Women never get this. I feel validated. Today is a win for women worldwide, not just for me. Things are finally changing.”
