Her first and most important job is being a mother to her son Barron. Some of our past first ladies were very uncomfortable with being in the public eye and did not want their husbands in politics. For example, Mamie Eisenhower, Bess Truman, Pat Nixon, Rosalyn Carter rarely spoke in public and spent much of their time at home being mothers. They did not like being in public or campaigning.

I think all her outfits looked great. Why would she show up in Walmart clothes when her husband can afford to dress her in designer clothes? If she did she would get criticized for that too! I saw an Oprah show once where a shopper dressed a woman in an outfit purchased from Target for less than $60 for skirt, sweater, shoes and purse. It was a very close match to the outfit Oprah had on that cost $2800. When asked why she pays so much for her clothes when she could spend a lot less she replied, “because I can afford it.”
