He was a legendary music producer. Quincy Jones influenced decades of music and genres. The artist passed away on November 3, at the age of 91, at his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by his beautiful family.
The producer worked on the world’s biggest hits, such as We Are the World, but also on Michal Jackson’s unforgettable albums: Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad. During his lifetime, he received many accolades, including 28 Grammy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Tony Award.
His path in the music industry was incredible. He was one of the biggest models for the most famous musicians around the globe. Quincy Jones studied classical composition in Paris in the late 1950s. He lived across the street from Picasso and benefited from having Nadia Boulanger as his teacher. She was considered the mentor of the most famous composers and performers of the 20th century.
He also had a great career in arranging and was behind some of the biggest hits of the 1960s, such as Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon.
