Elon Musk Decided to Break Debate Silence With A Bizzare Offer!
Immediately after the 2024 Presidential Debate, Elon Musk remained quiet. Donald Trump’s failures seem to have left one of the most active cheerleaders speechless. Like many other celebrities, Taylor Swift didn’t stay silent and posted a photo with her cat on Instagram, endorsing Kamala Harris. On Tuesday, the megastar announced to her 283 million followers that she made her choice and advised everyone to choose wisely for the next presidential elections.
How can a megastar like Taylor Swift influence the 2024 presidential campaign?
“I am voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” wrote one of the most influential people on the planet on September 10. The celebrity signed off her endorsement “With love and hope, Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.”
The post generated a lot of reactions and in just 6 hours, Taylor Swift received 6 million likes. Isn’t that crazy? The tables have turned. If months ago we were expecting Trump to beat Biden… now we are becoming more and more prepared to celebrate a strong black woman’s achievements. Admit it or not, Kamala Harris has a huge chance of becoming the first female president of the United States. What will Trump do next? And how could he fight against Kamala’s powerful campaign? I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
2024 was, for sure, one of the most interesting years in the history of the United States. Oh… and it’s far from being over!
Elon Musk’s offer… or was it a threat?
After seeing Taylor Swift’s post, the CEO of Tesla and Space X, the richest man in the world, couldn’t resist and broke the debate silence. Less than two hours later, Must, a father of 12, offered to give Taylor Swift a child and guard her cats with his life.
Here, is what he wrote on X: “Fine Taylor…you win…I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life”. The response has been viewed as a bizarre attempt to overshadow the artist’s political endorsement and generated a lot of reactions. Some of the comments Musk received sound like this: “Hopefully you weren’t sober when you sent that”, “You owe Ms. Swift an apology”, “You are creepy”, “Isn’t this weird?”, and “You really think you are Alpha, don’t you?”.
Keep in mind that this kind of comment comes from a man who spoke out about a collapsing birth rate. In 2022, when he had 9 children with 3 different women, he claimed that he was doing his best to help the underpopulation crisis.
That is not all! Let’s remember what he told Fox News, back in 2021, about the Democrats who were running the country: “A bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices they have made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”
Musk’s actions and bizarre offer add a new layer of controversy to everything going on with the 2024 presidential elections. Was that ironic comment really needed? What was its purpose?
Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump
Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump right after the shooting incident and claimed multiple times that the last time when America had such a tough candidate was Theodore Roosevelt. Since July 13, when the billionaire endorsed Trump, Kamala Harris’s campaign has multiple times attacked him for his anti-worker stances. Harris’s campaign called Musk and Trump “self-obsessed rich guys” and reposted an audio from a time when Trump and Musk were laughing together about firing striking workers.
Another thing Elon Musk said after the most awaited debate of the year was that Kamala Harris exceeded most people’s expectations, but the debate hosts were unfair to Trump.
Is it good or bad to have the richest man in the world by your side? Or are celebrities and public figures more influential? Let’s see how the conflicts he had with Taylor Swift affected President Trump over the years.
Taylor Swift vs. Donald Trump
The Americans were wondering when Taylor Swift was planning to endorse Kamala Harris, considering that everyone already knew that she wasn’t a Trump supporter. The superstar had multiple “conflicts” with Donald Trump over the years and expressed her political visions whenever she had the chance. Well, in 2024, she waited for the right time to offer her entire support to Kamala Harris. That’s a big deal, considering Taylor’s popularity and influence, in the whole world, not just in the United States.
Harris joined the game later, just after Joe Biden quit, and since then, there have been no signs of endorsement from Taylor.
Back in 2019, in an interview with the Guardian, Taylor said she became more active following Trump’s defeat of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, at the end of the 2016 election cycle. She said she felt completely voiceless in 2016, even though she tried her best to support Clinton. The megastar admitted that she was not brave enough. “The things that happen to you in your life are what develop your political opinions,” added Taylor.
Breaking her silence
In May 2020, Taylor Swift publicly criticized Trump’s post on Twitter about the Black Lives Matter Movement. When the protests turned violent, Trump wrote: “When the looting starts, the shooting starts” and here is how Swift pushed back on the statement: “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? When the looting starts, the shooting starts? We will vote you out in November.”
Swift’s political power can’t be denied! On National Voter Registration Day, she shared a message on her Instagram that, according to the organization led to more than 35,000 registrations and an almost 25 percent increase over the same day the previous year. Andrea Hailey, the CEO of Vote.org, said that the single-day surge in registrations was “a highly encouraging sign of voter enthusiasm”.
Clearly, all celebrities with huge influence over people, should carefully expose their opinions publicly and contribute to building a better future for our country. What we know for sure is Taylor Swift did an amazing job of encouraging everyone to register and vote but, most importantly, get informed.
Donald Trump’s response
Earlier this year, Trump said he is more popular than Taylor Swift. Also, in the book Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass”, the 45th president of the United States said that Taylor is “unusually beautiful”, but “liberal”.
Regarding the 2024 presidential debate and the controversy created over Musk’s post on X, there is no official answer from Donald Trump yet…but as we already know, he can be really surprising. Nobody should underestimate his power.
