1. Going to the movies
One of the things Trump can’t do even as president of the country is go to the movies. If the leader of the nation wants to see a movie, they have to bring it to the White House. A home theater could be fun, but it’s nice to treat yourself to a huge screen, a massive bucket of batteries, and the cheesy popcorn that the public theater has to offer.

2. Drive

The American president is an important figure, and he’s driven in a secured vehicle by a driver who has undergone considerable training to prepare for an emergency. However, sources say that on personal properties or at locations such as Camp David, the leader of the country can ride a bike (George W. Bush loved this form of exercise), go on a walk, or do other enjoyable things.
3. Open the windows

Regardless of who the next leader of the country will be, if they want to engage in any conversations with their friends, they must alert the Secret Service first.
5. Go out to dinner
It’s possible to go out to supper, but for the Secret Service to protect the restaurant, they must have enough advance notice. Furthermore, rumors have it that the president won’t be allowed to eat somewhere other than the White House unless a designated “food taster” is there to make sure the food is safe to consume.

6. Attend their children’s performances
This is one of the toughest things to do as PLOTUS, in my opinion, but it is important for security measures! For example, it would be practically impossible to attend a grandchild’s or child’s dance performance or athletic event without making massive security arrangements for other spectators and participants.
Can you imagine being a parent and not being able to see your kids’ talents grow? Because attending a typical school would require a lot of security, several presidents’ children attended school right in the White House, which included a classroom and playground.
7. Clean their office
If he spends another four years at the White House, Trump can’t clean the offices. According to experts, the country’s leader is also discouraged from organizing their workspace or disposing of their mail. They’re required to retain records that the average person doesn’t under the Presidential Records Act. And yes, emails are included on this list.

8. Use commercial airlines
The Secret Service would say, “Sorry, no can do,” if the president ever felt the sudden urge to board an American Airlines trip. Unfortunately, some experts point out that the president is utterly incapable of performing any “normal” task.
While the majority of what ordinary people can do is available to presidents, there are still many limitations. But why would you want to deal with the inconveniences associated with flying on a commercial airline when you have Air Force 1 anyway?
9. Use personal technology without being monitored
The Secret Service must keep up with any emerging security concerns as technology develops. According to specialists, personal technology, specifically President Obama’s Blackberry and President Trump’s Twitter account, has been subject to a more in-depth restriction. After taking office, it was recommended that both stop using or significantly reduce the time spent using technology. Moreover, as different reports from 2018 say, the First Amendment prohibits the president from blocking users on social media.
These platforms are frequently seen as spaces for unrestricted idea sharing, but not when you’re the head of state. In fact, following the violence at the Capitol building in January 2021, President Trump was banned from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms for a while.

10. Pretty much nothing
We’re at the end! This is the last one of the things Trump can’t do even as president. Even though the Secret Service can offer advice and, in certain cases, strongly discourage, experts point out that a crucial final point is frequently missed.
In the end, the president is ultimately in charge. Therefore, the PLOTUS has the last say, and the Secret Service will do its best to adjust to the situation if the leader wishes to do something that creates security concerns, like leaving the White House to greet people or visiting a risky location. As a result, the Secret Service must allow the president to act on an intense desire to take action that might be interpreted as a threat.
However, according to specialists, the Secret Service is authorized by federal statute, 18 U.S.C. 3056, to protect the PLOTUS and his family. It’s practically illegal for the president to decline Secret Service protection. As you can tell, a lot of rules and restrictions were developed throughout the years, but that is only for the PLOTUS’ protection.
