Visitors want to visit the West Wing for many reasons, so for obvious reasons, there are frequent visits there. As the White House Karine Jean-Pierre added, tours took place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The Secret Service has decided not to rule out any White House personnel, guests, or visitors. One of the main theories is that the bag was brought in by someone who attended the White House tour of the West Wing; at least, that’s what the senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter.
As White House staffers are constantly giving guests tours of the West Wing, mostly at night and over the weekend, guests are obliged to pass through security before entering the White House complex. They are also asked to leave their phones in a small box. The District of Columbia Fire Department took an initial test of the substance after someone’s suggestion that it might be coc*ine.
