Holding wedding ceremonies
In the past, getting married used to be seen more like a looser affair. In various cultures, it was all about asking for the consent of both parties, usually accompanied by a witness. However, in the Middle Ages, English couples showed their consent by saying “yes” to an object given to them by their beloved.
