2. Ben Stiller
In the fall of 2016, beloved actor Ben Stiller confessed that in 2014, when he was 48 years old, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Siller gave an interview for Stern’s radio show in which he said how shocked he was when he got the news but at the same time grateful that doctors discovered it early enough to treat it.
“At first, I had no idea what would happen. I was so scared. It just stops everything in your life. I couldn’t plan for a movie because I didn’t know what was going to happen to me.” He also revealed he wanted to keep his diagnosis a secret at the time, but eventually decided against it.
Stiller told his story in the hopes that others would consider taking the PSA test, a prostate-specific antigen test that catches the disease early.
