As a recurring cast member on Fox’s long-running smash sitcom “That ’70s Show”, Lisa Robin Kelly entertained viewers for several seasons. Sadly, her real life was everything but amusing.
Kelly’s long battle with drug and alcohol addiction was not hidden from her fans. Her public battle with alcoholism during her tenure on “That ’70s Show” led to her dismissal from the show, derailing what appeared to be a successful career and paving the way for the tragic end to her all-too-short life.
Kelly entered treatment in August 2013 after years of unsuccessful attempts to overcome her substance misuse troubles; sadly, her choice to get sober came too late to prevent the disease from taking hold of her. After registering in rehab, Kelly died in her sleep from complications brought on by an unintentional overdose. She was 43 at that time.
