#5 Richard Attenborough

Richard Attenborough had already established himself as a successful and honorable actor when he played in “Jurassic Park.” “The Great Escape”, which was published in the midst of an active period that includes some of his most frequently viewed work, starred Attenborough and Steve McQueen together in the lead role. Along with co-starring in “The Sand Pebbles” (again with McQueen) and “Doctor Dolittle”, he also received two Golden Globe Awards in a row in 1967 and 1968.

Attenborough’s career has undoubtedly had its share of great moments, and lovers of classic movies are sure to be familiar with his work. However, younger moviegoers have their own recollections of Attenborough because of his portrayal of John Hammond, whose goals inspired the construction of Jurassic Park.

That blockbuster made him renowned among the new generation, but it’s only one brief chapter in a life of numerous outstanding cinematic accomplishments (both in front of and behind the camera) that came to an end on August 24, 2014, at the age of 90.
