Sent in the early hours of the morning, it put an end to the speculation over whether the increasing number of infections within the White House had reached the chief of state, while also sparking new speculation over whether he could keep his position.
He could, and did. Moreover, his recovery became a central theme during the last month of his time in office. Supporters saw in him a “warrior”, while Trump stated after leaving the hospital, “I DEFEATED the virus.”
