3. Bargain hunters get a bargain experience
It’s simpler than ever to locate a great deal on a hotel stay online, but you should be cautious about how you book your accommodation. Making a reservation through a site like Expedia may result in a less-than-pleasant stay.
Some hotels assign visitors who book through third-party services the least appealing rooms since the hotel generates less money on their stays and the clients aren’t generally repeat customers.
Reservations made through Internet discount sites are more likely to be assigned to one of the lower-quality rooms. Those guests did not choose a property based on quality; they chose based on price.
If the hotel feels you’re a price-driven customer who won’t return until you receive another great deal, it won’t have much reason to go above and beyond. Want to get better care while saving money?
Call the hotel and see if they can match the pricing you saw on the internet. They could be willing to offer you a discount if you ask nicely.

I have experienced the filth of a hotel room from the linen the mattress to the coffee pot and I don’t mind telling you it was The Ahoskie Inn in Ahoskie N.C. so be aware. This is not the first time I have told this story because it was that unbelievable. We were there for a wedding under the name White.
Everything should be washed included pillows. You want CLEAN EVERYTHING. NOT SOME ONES LEFTOVERS. GERMS. MY THOUGHTS

So True!
Even major chains (like Marriott) have hotels that are very questionable. Just spent a night in a hotel in San Luis Obispo, CA; highly rated and recently became a Marriott property. The stay was horrible in that when you showered, the entire bathroom area flooded. Water everywhere; took many many towels and time to mop up the water to ensure safety and usability of the room! Have you tried to walk on a floor that’s full of water? Notified hotel staff and Marriott but neither party has offered to adjust the rate which came close to $400.00 a night with all the tacked on fees! Additional insult to us was, staff was aware that some of their rooms had the flooding problem. Am a “Marriot Bonvoy member” but, loyalty membership doesn’t guarantee satisfaction!!!
