Fire in Quebec

Smoke that arose from the blazes in different parts of the country has been rapidly drifting into the United States since last month, but it got way worse with the most recent fires in Quebec, where over 100 were burning and were categorized as out of control on Tuesday. Zachary Kamel from Montreal added that “the smoke was insane yesterday. I was forced to close my window because all the fresh air smelled like a campfire.”

But it gets worse: The Quebec Premier, Legault, admitted that the province has the capacity to fight only 40 fires at the moment, and any other usual reinforcement that might have been needed is already stuck in other fires in Nova Scotia and in other parts of Canada.
