7. Louie Anderson, 68
Louie Anderson was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, one of 11 children. Before making it big, he performed stand-up shows in small Midwest comedy clubs. Then, in 1984, he was given a spot on “The Tonight Show” where he enchanted the audience with his self-deprecating, affable brand of humor. His death came as a shock to a lot of people.
From there, the artist worked his way into television and film — including small roles in “Coming to America” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”. In the mid-1990s, he co-created and starred in “Life with Louie”, an animated sitcom television series based on his childhood. He also won three Emmys.
Anderson’s death occurred as a result of several cancer-related health complications. He passed away on Jan. 21, 2022, at the age of 68.
