Black. White. (2006)
One of the first reality TV shows on the list is called Black. White, and it aired in 2006 on FX. All the episodes were based on a social experiment. The thing with this show is that it was supposed to document two voluntary families, one Caucasian and one African American, in which the two families would present a false persona representing a different ethnicity with the use of professional makeup.
While the white family was fake, the African American ones were real. Because it got mixed reactions and a lot of raised eyebrows, the show got canceled after only one month!
