Topless Showgirls
I hope you haven’t thought the list of reality TV Shows that got banned a couple of years ago is over; we’re not quite there yet! Another one that raised a lot of controversy at the time it was released in 2011 is called Topless Showgirls. In one of the most contentious episodes of the series, iconic dance teacher Abby Lee Miller let her young students do a fairly suggestive performance. She provided the girls with showgirl fans and flesh-colored outfits to wear. Many people felt that the number was too adult and provocative as a result.
The episode’s alarming original title was changed to “Costume Drama” in an apparent effort to quell the backlash. The episode was canceled and was no longer accessible for watching online or through streaming, despite airing as scheduled and receiving excellent ratings.
