8. John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States, serving from 1961 until 1963, when he was assassinated. He was the youngest chief of state and the youngest US leader to die. His unexpected death shocked the whole world.

He initiated the Alliance for Progress, establishing economic cooperation between Latin America and the United States. He also negotiated the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty, prohibiting the testing of nuclear weapons underwater, in the atmosphere, or in outer space.

John F. Kennedy, or JFK, as most call him, earned his ranking with his vision as a leader, public persuasion, and crisis leadership.
