3. Mary Pinchot Meyer

Legendary Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee’s sister-in-law chronicled her alleged relationship with Kennedy in her diary. Bradlee himself revealed that. In 2016, a handwritten love letter from the late president to Meyer came to light during an online auction from Boston’s RR Auction.

In the four-page letter, Kennedy suggested to Meyer that she should leave “suburbia for once” to come and see him. He even presented her with the options if she wanted to do that: she could either visit him  “at the Cape next week, or in Boston on the 19th.”

JFK also points out that he’s aware of the fact that his request is irrational and unwise, but he will still “love it”. “Why don’t you say yes?” Kennedy added.

Meyer is yet another woman with whom JFK was involved and whose death sparked several conspiracy theories. She was murdered; she was shot twice in Georgetown in October 1964. Her death is still unresolved.
